Michael Mueller This is a rich and rewarding album that delivers a jazz experience that swaggers boldly across a range of styles with confidence and ease.

Despite its traditionally organic instrumentation, the palette is broad with great guitar and a range of percussion featured throughout.

The production is more stylised than such albums often contain, with echo effects and stereo panning used at times.

Despite the range, the coherence of the album is terrific. Complex yet accessible jazz. Favorite track: Brink.
